1. Profile
Chinese food company applying for Indonesian halal certification (foreign-company scheme). A Chinese food-supply-chain/food-tech operator; the SJPH practice-run cycle (internal audit + management review) has been executed by the company as part of its own system building.
2. Evidence on file (compliant items)
- Halal policy issued, printed and displayed at production facility and warehouse.
- Halal supervisor & management team appointed (decree No. 1675/HMT/C/VI/2026); supervisor is Muslim, currently QC lead, with defined job description.
- Material list/matrix provided; CoA and composition available for materials.
- Products fully listed; no naming violations; no non-halal products on site; facility hygiene high; traceability per released batch; halal label design waiting on certificate number.
- Floor plan included in registration/SJPH manual.
3. Non-conformities (by criterion)
| # | Finding | Criterion |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Halal policy socialization: no internal meeting planned | 1 |
| 2 | Halal supervisor not yet registered with BPJPH; no competency-exam pass | 1 |
| 3 | Internal SJPH training not yet conducted (planned after supervisor competency) | 1 / 5 |
| 4 | Most halal-cert-required materials lack halal certificates from BPJPH-acknowledged HCBs | 2 |
| 5 | Some packaging materials missing from the material list | 2 |
| 6 | Process flowchart not yet provided | 3 |
Profile matches the typical findings card almost exactly.
4. Management-review answers (5 criteria)
| Criterion | Answer recorded by the company |
|---|---|
| 1 Commitment | Policy issued; training/socialization pending → schedule once supervisor certified |
| 2 Materials | Matrix complete but certificates missing → obtain certs or alternatives/supporting documents for halal traceability |
| 3 Process | Flowchart outstanding → provide |
| 4 Products | All listed; no additions or name changes |
| 5 Monitoring | First audit/review cycle tied to supervisor certification milestone; meeting scheduled thereafter |
Read together, the non-conformities and the recorded answers show what future files should plan for first.
5. Lessons for future files
- Critical-path sequence for China clients: (1) supervisor competency + BPJPH registration → (2) internal training & socialization → (3) material halal certificates or replacements → (4) flowchart. Everything else tends to be compliant early because the food-safety system already exists.
- Expect the six NCs above as the standard first-cycle profile; build the pre-audit checklist and client briefing around them.
- Management review timing gated on an external event (supervisor exam) is common — but the NC stands until executed; advise scheduling the exam early, not after document work.
